Easy! All we need is your first and last name, date of birth and previous pharmacy name (this can be done in person or over the phone). With this information, we call your previous pharmacy and get your prescription file transferred to us.
This normally takes only about 30 minutes.
We then put your medications on file and wait for you to request them to be filled!
You can also transfer to your family and loved ones.
Yes! We offer free in town delivery (within Picton) on all prescriptions. We can also deliver outside of town (within a reasonable distance), however a small charge may apply based on distance. Please call us for more details.
Depending on how busy we are and how many prescriptions you need filled our average wait time is only about 10-20min. Various factors may affect how long the prescription takes to be filled (Doctor’s clarification, drug availability, etc…) Acute and urgent care prescriptions are always prioritized, however we always try our hardest to make sure your prescription is filled correctly and on time!
Yes! There is parking on Main Street right in front of our pharmacy. Alternatively, patients are welcome to park on Ross Street (adjacent to the pharmacy) and in Market Lane (next to the old fire hall). Patients are also welcome to park on King Street which has ample parking for all!
Yes! Please drop off your expired medications at the County Drugstore and we will happily dispose of them through our secure disposal service. We ask that needles and sharps are first placed by the patient into a sharps container as our staff cannot handle loose sharps. Sharps containers are free to obtain from our pharmacy.
Yes! We have access to a variety of specialty medications that we can dispense to you. Even if you are enrolled in a “Patient Support Program” that provides financial assistance towards your drug costs, we can still provide you with the same drug at the same cost as we also work closely with Patient Support Programs. Just call us and ask!
Yes! We accept and bill all drug plans directly.
Yes! If you are looking to speak to a Pharmacist about your medication and health please come by or call to book a one-on-one consultation with the Pharmacist. The Pharmacist will be happy to review your file and address any questions or concerns you may have.
If your medication is for a chronic and ongoing condition (ex. Blood pressure or diabetes) our Pharmacist is able to dispense/extend a one time refill in order to help you out. Please come in or give us a call to ask if we can do this for you.
*Please note that the Pharmacist cannot issue refills for narcotics or controlled substances as per the Ontario College of Pharmacists policy*
Yes we do! Certain restrictions apply due to specific drug plan policies. We always encourage patients with private drug plans to call their plan ahead and inform them that they will be travelling. Please call us or come by for more details.
